This Birth Prep Workshop is led by Dr. Andrea Nied, Pelvic PT and Owner of Movement Physio and Wellness. Also joining us is Kelly Contreras, Doula & Owner of My Doula Kelly.
Kelly Contreras is a birth doula, birth photographer, and placenta encapsulation specialist. Based in Thornton, she supports growing families throughout Denver, Thornton, and the surrounding areas.
Kelly has experience supporting families across all birth settings—including hospital, home, and birth center births—and across a wide range of birth preferences, from medicated to unmedicated. She also has had the privilege of working with families planning VBACs/HBACs, expecting twins, welcoming babies with known medical needs, and surrogates carrying for intended families.
Regardless of whether this is a first pregnancy or a growing family, Kelly’s role as a birth doula is to provide continuous physical, emotional, and informational support, as well as advocacy throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth. She believes there is no single “right” way to give birth—her goal is to support each birthing person in making informed choices and birthing in a way that feels empowering and aligned for them and their family.
