You are in the right place.
Pelvic floor healing starts here.
Our Story
Movement Physio and Wellness was created by our founder, Dr. Andrea Nied after experiencing quite the postpartum journey. Birthing two kids who are 19 months apart was eye-opening to her, to say the least, and made her realize how many women out there are normalizing their pain or leakage, and not getting the help they truly deserve. She dove head first into pelvic floor health certifications and helped heal herself while raising two small kids in London, UK! After returning home to Arvada from spending 3 years living abroad in London during the pandemic, Dr. Andrea saw how important MOVEMENT was for her own body, and for her patients she treated during that time. She decided to go all-in for her own pelvic floor physical therapy clinic, in order to help women and men in her community finally have a place to feel understood and validated for their pelvic floor concerns!
Our Approach
If you have tried to do Kegels or just hope your pelvic floor problems go away on their own, that’s where we come in. We are a passionate pelvic floor therapy team dedicated to helping you get back to leak-free exercise and pain-free Colorado activities. Our goal is to get you doing the things that you love the most, and no longer having to worry about your pelvic floor!
We know pelvic floor therapy can be a little intimidating, especially when you have to explain about what is going on that is really private! Trust us, we have all experienced our own pelvic floor issues — we really care to truly solve your problem and make sure it doesn’t come back, for good!
We believe that pelvic floor dysfunction must be treated with a whole body approach, not a cookie-cutter based treatment plan with Kegels and stretching only. If you have tried Kegels and it didn’t work, we have a different approach! Through our 3-Step Signature Method, we empower you to run, hike, lift, ski, snowboard, and climb without the fear of pain or leaks. Read below to find your best match for a pelvic floor therapist!
Meet The Team
Dr. Brianna Brewer, PT, DPT
Brianna’s love for the southwest and mountains brought her to Flagstaff, AZ where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communications with a minor in Spanish from Northern Arizona University. From there, she decided to pursue a career in health care due to her passion of helping people and fitness. She worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant for 6 years before earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from South College in Knoxville, TN.
She absolutely loves the specialization and working with the pelvic floor population. Whether it is for pregnancy and postpartum moms who want to have a safe pregnancy and allow them to return to their normal activities without issues, or working with patients who experience pelvic pain and dysfunction that is causing a significant disability in their everyday life. She treats both females and males, as well as other areas of orthopedic and neurological conditions, and is certified in dry needling.
Outside of the clinic, you will find Brianna exploring the great Colorado mountains through hiking, camping, biking, and paddle boarding. She lives with her husband, Dane, and their dog, Xochi, in Arvada. Together, they love to travel to learn new languages and try new cuisines.
Alexis Niccum, OTR/L
Alexis is an Indiana native who has found her way to Colorado for her love of the outdoors and vast array of holistic wellness opportunities. She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology and a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from New York University. She grew up working with children and adults with disabilities which initially led her into a career of occupational therapy. Throughout her career, she has worked with a wide spectrum of populations in various settings and has now made her way into pelvic health therapy.
Aside from physical modalities, she has a passion for teaching people how to heal their own bodies and making them feel empowered to reach their full potential. Through a unique skill set, Alexis specializes in helping people to down regulate their nervous system and put them at ease in order to get to the root of the problem. She believes most physical issues must first be addressed at an emotional level. Her favorite treatment technique is using the Dolphin Neurostim, which is a game changer for scar healing, vagus nerve stimulation, and pain relief.
Outside of her professional life, Alexis enjoys being outdoors connecting with nature, reading, spending time with her Golden Retriever, meditating and playing instruments.
Dr. Andrea Nied, PT, DPT, Founder
Dr. Andrea Nied, PT, DPT has been a Doctor of Physical Therapy in Colorado since 2011, when she moved to Arvada immediately after finishing physical therapy school at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Andrea has extensive experience working with all orthopedic conditions, as well as a specialization in pelvic health, dry needling, abdominal visceral mobilization, Maya abdominal massage, and spine rehabilitation. Her favorite treatment technique is dry needling because of the quick results it gets her patients!
Dr. Andrea decided to pursue a specialization in pelvic floor physical therapy due to her personal struggles with postpartum health. After the birth of her daughter in 2016, Dr. Andrea was experiencing low back pain that wasn’t going away with her typical physical therapy work. Then, 6 months after her daughter was born, she decided to take a pelvic floor course, and was blown away that her back pain immediately went away that weekend! The pain was actually coming from the pelvic floor and not her back! She was hooked! After her son was born in 2017, Andrea successfully treated her other postpartum problems including bladder leakage, prolapse, and pelvic pain.
Dr. Andrea and her family love traveling the world and even spent 3 years living in London, UK. In 2021, Andrea, her husband, and two young children made the decision to leave London and return to beautiful Arvada. In her free time, she loves hiking, paddleboarding, skiing, and playing with her dog, Murphy!

We are an out-of-network provider, which allows us to provide the highest level of one-on-one care without insurance restrictions. This means longer treatment sessions, a personalized plan designed just for you, and faster results. Many of our patients use HSA/FSA funds or submit for reimbursement through their insurance. We'd be happy to guide you through that process.

Here are some key differences between our practice and insurance based clinics:
Our practice
1:1 for a full hour with your selected pelvic health therapist
Holistic, full body approach with treatments dictated by what you need, not what your insurance will pay for
Faster results and only need to come typically 1x a week
Personalized treatment plan focused on high level goals that will help you reach returning to an active Colorado lifestyle.
Our therapists have smaller caseloads than insurance based clinics, meaning you are heard and cared for, not just another number.
Transparent pricing, no surprise bills
Insurance Based Clinics
Shorter treatment times and might have to be seen by an aide or tech
Cookie-cutter treatment approaches that your insurance decides what they will pay for
Multiple visits a week, taking up more of your time
Bare minimum treatments that might only include pelvic floor internal work and a couple stretches.
Often treatment is cut off once you are out of pain, but still struggling with mobility or weakness, thus the problem returns.
Unclear pricing, surprise bills after claims are submitted to insurance

No! Colorado is a “Direct Access” state for physical therapy, meaning you typically do not need a referral to see a physical therapist or occupational therapist. Even if your doctor recommends a specific clinic for you, it is in your right to choose the clinic that fits your needs the best!
-
Our clinic is located near the intersection of 64th and Indiana in West Arvada, right in between Comfort Dental and Qdoba. There is ample parking in front of the building.
-
Prior to your first visit, please fill out your intake form that is emailed to you via our Jane booking system. At your first visit, you can expect to be evaluated and treated in a private room by one of our female pelvic health therapists. We look at how the body moves, especially your hips, back, core, and anything that has to do with your specific pelvic condition. With your consent, the therapists may ask to perform an internal exam to check if the pelvic floor muscles are tight, weak, or painful. Then, we come up with an expert treatment plan in order to meet your specific goals.
-
As pelvic floor therapists, we believe that an important part of our exam process is a pelvic floor muscle exam done via the vaginal canal or rectum. This is one way we can truly feel if the muscles are tight, weak, or painful. Deciding to perform the internal exam is a decision made by YOU and your therapist! Obviously, if you are not ready to have this exam done yet, no worries! Your therapist will explain all the options to you. We always ask for ongoing, informed consent to evaluate your body!
-
Yes, you are welcome to bring your baby or partner along to your appointment. We do not want childcare to limit your access to get the help you need, so we welcome your little ones!
-
Please wear clothing that you feel comfortable moving around in. Most people wear athletic wear or workout clothes to their pelvic PT sessions.
-
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy to respect the time of our therapists as well as your time. Please call the office at (720) 500-7450 during business hours.
